Baseball weekend

Last weekend we collectively watched 8 baseball games and 3 soccer games. It is time to recuperate before we do it all over again next weekend. The win of the weekend was Austin's baseball team - 2nd place in the tournament!! Way to go!! The game went into additional innings as we were all tied up at the end of the sixth inning.. For tournament that means they put the last three outs on base and the next batter tries to get them home with two outs on the board. The opposing team managed to get two runs in.. then Austin was the next batter. He hit a beautiful ball up in the air and right into center fields' glove. He was sooo disappointed, but it was a great hit, just misplaced. Here they are getting their second place trophy..

New Cast

Hurray! All is well and Austin is super happy with his new water-proof cast that he has to wear for the next 4 weeks!

Austin broke his hand!!

He and Christian were rough housing and had just ignored my call to stop when Austin flips Christian upside down and falls himself, breaking his hand... enjoy this treasure of him and Ryan once he has his temporary cast on....

Austin is faking the pain; it stopped hurting once they got the cast on and the painkiller down him - and Ryan wanted to be in the picture too so I told him he had to look sad. Two great actors!

Catch up

We had a fantasticly hectic Christmas! We went to Balboa for Christmas week and the kids played in the rain and they got to fish on one of the half sunny days... didn't catch much as there was a seal hanging around, but that was as much fun as fishing! Took a quick trip to Legoland, then we headed home for the post Christmas high of unwrapping presents and sending Jimmy off to Thailand for 2.5 weeks (NEVER AGAIN!!!).
Jimmy returned in January and we headed off for a quick snowboard trip in Breckenridge. The boys loved it, they got to tube down the mountain and snowboard for 2.5 days. Of course, they did't want to leave and Jimmy and I were exhausted. We were lucky that Joe J. and his lovely bride Renee and friend joined Jimmy and me for a day of skiing. It was super cool to see Joe after so long and he totally wiped us out in the skiing and fitness department (what happend to take a run, have a drink???)
We returned to soccer 4 days a week, basketball 2 days, guitar lessons, tutoring, and church, school and work - I want another vacation!!! Love you all!... enjoy the pics...
